Moving is hard for anyone, right?
Who remembers having to meet new people and establish a new friend group?
It's not easy, so why do you think it would be so easy for pets?
If you are thinking about introducing a new pet into your life, be sure to read this first!
1. Separate the animals for the first few days which will give them time to get used to each others scents.
2. When no one is home it will be best to keep them in separate rooms, so no fighting occurs.
3. After a few days, I will start with leashed introductions.
4. Allow them both to be in the same room, but on leashes so they can get used to each other under my watch.
5. You will want to continue with this until both animals are comfortable with each other. Make sure they are still eating & drinking as well as going to the bathroom in the right spots. I keep my urine odor remover close by, just in case any accidents happen!
6. Now it is time to let them run loose in the house and have some play time together!
