Urine has a specific smell, and just like all smells if you don't get rid of it quickly it starts to smell worse with time.
What spots have you been missing over the years?
No matter if you have a new pet or have had one for years, they are still going to have accidents from time to time.
The quicker you find the spots, the quicker you can get rid of the urine odor!
That's why we recommend using a UV/Black Light to find spots that can't be seen by the naked eye.
How To Find Cat Urine With A Black Light
Black lights work best when there is no light around. The best time to search for these spots is going to be at night with the shades closed, so no lights are coming in.
Then begin searching areas you think may have been urinated on and/or search the entire house just to be safe!
Hold the light 1 to 2 feet above the area that you are scanning for urine.
But don't worry, a few things that aren't urine do shine under a UV light like certain types of wallpaper glue.
What Color Is Urine?
Urine will show up as a pale yellow color under a black light.
As soon as you find these spots, be sure to mark them somehow so that when you turn the lights back on you'll know which spots to treat with Urine Odor Remover.
Most urine spots will be spread under the carpet like an upside down triangle.
It's important to saturate the area around the spot as well with your urine odor remover.
